HUNGER GAMES!!

So I am not a reader at ALL!!  But I heard a lot about this series and figured well I should give this a try, especially when I heard they were making a movie.
I got the series for Christmas and within a month I had read all three books, yep I think that is my new record!! lol
I seriously could not put the book down, which was so abnormal for me!!

So I have been counting down the days till the movie came out.  We got midnight tickets for last night and we were there!!

I figured we were going to be waiting in line for a while so I packed some "Hunger Games surviver kits".

I packed them with "poisonous berries"

And I made some cookies from Petta's dad's bakery :)

The girls enjoyed my little packs while we waited!!

We had a great time and of course the movie was great!!

Spring Break Fun

Last week was spring break, today is the first day back to school, YAHOOO!!! Lol.  Most of spring break the girls spent there time with their other parents because of our work schedules.  But then I had thurs and fri off so I was able to get both of them so we could have some fun.  Friday we met up with some friends from church and went to the Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center in Chandler.  The girls had a blast.  We will definitely keep this place in mind for the summer and it was very cheap to get in too!!  Plus, for me :)

The girls loved their lazy river, they spent most of their time going around and around.

And Janiece enjoying it by herself

While Ciera and Chloe waited for the whirlpool

Yep, its a whirlpool, like a giant spa that spins you around it. ha, they loved it

Ciera off the diving board

and when its time to go home they were still in the lazy river. :)

DC Trip

Well I guess our lives have been a little boring for a while since it has been a bit since I updated the blog :)
Well here is some excitement.
The hubby has a job site going on in Maryland right now so he decided to take me with on this trip to the site since it was an easy trip.  He also has a long time friend that him, his wife, and little cutie son live in Alexandria, VA.  So we made a little vaca out of the trip to visit and since I have never been on the east coast before, got to visit DC!!
I was forced to get up at 3:45am, yes that says AM to catch our flight out on Thursday.  Got into Baltimore about 1:00pm and went straight to the job site which is on a military base so I was not allowed to take any pics :(  After spending a nice 30-45 mins in the car, alone, while the hubby did his work stuff.  We were off to check in to the hotel, get cleaned up and head over to our friends the Shaws for dinner.

A tunnel that goes under the harbor, too bad it didn't have glass windows :(

The capital from the freeway!

Washington monument from the freeway!

Friday morning we got up, of course I had to get my starbucks, which was in our hotel!!!!!!!
Then we walked around Old Town Alexandria, Va.  Which is where we stayed.

Saturday, we got up.  Had breakfast at the Shaw's house and then headed to DC.  So beautiful and yes, very, very chilly!!!!

The White House, and yes Mr. Obama was home!

We found out that they train squirrels to kill on the front yard!!  This one was training with the stick!

and this squirrel was the look out!  He even ran up to the gate to make sure we all knew they were serious about their security of the yard!
